Where to Start

I've been thinking about starting a blog for a long time, I've been reading other's blogs since I started running. It's kind of funny I was the one who first started reading blogs but both my husband Arland and my friend Cheryl created one before I got around to it.

I am running my first marathon on Oct 7 2007 in Chicago. It is the 30th anniversary of the LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon.

I have to thank my cousin Jamie for first putting the idea of the Chicago Marathon in my head. I owe him many thanks and I will owe him many more this weekend, as he has generously opened his home to me Kim and Brenda my running partners/friends. Not only has he offered us a place to stay he will also be our tour guide for the weekend. Love you Jamie!!

Most of what I write about here will be about running .... running for the sheer enjoyment of it and running for a purpose. I am hoping that Chicago won't be my last marathon, hopefully this blog will be full of training runs and race reports for years to come.

I think it's great!! Nice start, I'm glad you got started, I need a picture on mine too. I don't have a close up, maybe if you come to class today I'll bring my camera.
